Rebranding the Crown Jewel of Maryland’s Black Culture
Through our Equity Advocates program, we donated our services to rebrand the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture – framing its identity around three pillars: The Past. The Present. The Future.
OUR APPROACH
We created a new visual identity and a comprehensive brand guide for The Lewis™, featuring a crown inspired by Black American cultural terms “King” and “Queen,” symbolizing royalty and the museum’s three pillars.
THE IMPACT
The new branding debuted at the museum’s annual Gala in full force. Our work, in partnership with Fufu + Grits, helped The Lewis visualize their new voice and fulfill its promise to “Protect Black History” in the state of Maryland.
